Forestry In Bosnia Herzegovina, we provided advice to the government and EU Delegation to help determine the proposed declaration of the Igman/ Bjelasnica area as protected/National Park. The project defined appropriate management zones, while identifying opportunities and threats for the protected area and its prospective activities. The study also identified park boundaries and classified the area according to World Conservation Union (IUCN) scale.
In the Philippines, we conducted and in-depth audit of the forestry programme. In particular, the project was responsible for assisting in the preservation of the forests in the province of Palawan, through an area-based project, emphasising a community-based sustainable and development strategy which worked within the framework of the Strategic Environmental Plan for the region.
